Worry - Perspective by Rosa - CWJC

I used to be a very worried person…until it got the best of me. I got depressed, then stressed out and started feeling anxiety. I then ended up hurting myself and went to a hospital for 15 days. The first two days I did not now where I was. The nurses helped me take a shower and dressed me. I had a class where we would talk about why we were worried.

Now, I do not worry as much. I go to church, have family and friends. I am getting help and I pray every night.

Healing - A Perspective by Michelle - CWJC

Healing

Healing means to make or become healthy, sound, or whole.
Psalm 34:4-5 - “I sought the Lord, and he answered me; he delivered me from all my fears. Those who look to him are radiant; their faces are never covered with shame.”

Healing means a lot to me because I know God heals both sickness and emotions. I count on him for everything! I am so blessed for his mercy. I am also so blessed with patience. Patience; the capacity, habit, or act of willing to wait. When you’re tempted to lose patience with another, think how patient God has been with you. Proverbs 19:11 – “A person’s wisdom yields patience; it is one’s glory to overlook an offense.” These scriptures are true; it is no wonder why they call the Bible “The gospel of TRUTH”. So just know that as we wait patiently or whatever it is we are waiting for, God our Savior has really been waiting on us.

Worry - A Perspective by Michelle - CWJC

1.Who here today has experienced worry?
2.Have you ever felt stressed?
3.When in your life have you been troubled?
4.Are there times you have been tested in life?

Worry, stress, and troubled times…
It is written-
Cast your burden upon the Lord, and he will sustain you; He will never allow the righteous to be shaken.

Psalm 55:22

When my anxious thoughts multiply within me, thy consolations delight my soul.

Psalm 94:19

Worry makes a heart heavy; a kind word makes it glad.

Proverb 12:25

My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart,
and my portion forever.

Psalm 73:26

He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in times of trouble; I will deliver him and honor him.

Psalm 91:15

Thou art my hiding place; thou shalt preserve me from trouble; thou shalt compass me about with songs of deliverance.

Psalm 32:7

And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance forever.

Isaiah 32:17

Encouagement - A Perspective by Felicia - CWJC

Encouragement means to uplift someone in a time of sorrow, hardship, trial and tribulation. “En” means to put into or unto. “Courage” means mental or moral strength; to venture. “Ment” means the state or condition resulting from a specified action. To encourage means to inspire with courage, spirit, or hope. Hope means to give help. Encouragement suggests the raising of one’s confidence; it is the act of encouraging. It’s the state of being encouraged. It also means to preserve and withstand danger, fear, or difficulty.
Encouragement to me means to help someone who is feeling low, sad, or going through the storm. I’m encouraged because I know that Jesus loves me. I look forward to graduating so I have faith to allow God to put into me the strength I need. “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” I’m more than a conqueror. “Greater is he that is in me than he that is in the world.” I am so thankful to be able to go to school. I encourage every one of you ladies to open your hearts and minds, and allow God to come into your lives. Jesus came that we may have life more abundantly. “The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want.” Jesus loves us so much that he died on the cross for us.
I’m glad God touched Denise’s heart to accept me after five years. I tried to complete this school before, but I wasn’t encouraged like I am now. God is doing great things in my life and the other ladies lives. God is good all the time.

Forgiveness - A Perspective by Margie - CWJC

Forgiveness - noun: the act of forgiving.
Pardon – verb: to grant freely, excusing an offense.

Forgiveness in my life is a big word, which means to let things go without punishment, without resentment, without anger; letting go freely, like nothing ever happened. Delete it! The reward we get for forgiving someone is the highest forgiveness there is. It’s from GOD! GOD helps us with our weaknesses and imperfections. Jesus said, “For if you forgive men when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their sins your Father will not forgive your sins” (Matthew 6:14-15).
We all have sin. There is not a human who walks on this earth who is without sin. Jesus is the only one who walked the earth without sin. Jesus was crucified! He paid the price on the cross with his blood for our sins. In the Old Testament, believers received forgiveness from animal sacrifices. Our forgiveness is possible now through the sacrifice of God’s Son, Jesus. By repenting and confessing our sins, we receive him in our hearts as our personal savior. Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.” (Luke 23:34).
As a believer, human forgiveness is supposed to be similar to God’s. In time of emotional pain, physical reminders help me to ask myself, “What would JESUS do?” This helps me daily.

Blessings - perspective by Brenda - CWJC

What is a blessing? In the Bible it says a blessing is an event that is beyond and better than an everyday happening. What does that word mean to each of us?

For me it started after my twin sister and I were born prematurely, kept in an incubator and then sent home. We were under weight but we were fighters and survived that first year to end up out weighing other babies born that year.

My mother told me later in my life that when we were still very small people would come by the house to tell her that my sister and I were going to die. But she didn't listen to them. My mother, grandmother, aunt, uncles and friends would not let that happen. They saved our lives so that my sister and I feel that we have been blessed with life for our lifetime.

Each and every person on this earth and in this classroom has the same blessing from birth for their life, family and future.

Blessing – perspective by Kay - CWJC

It is God’s will for His people to be blessed. Walking in faith, paying your tithes is a great way to be blessed. Giving to others also will be a blessing for you. Ask the Lord for favor. Ask for favor to be blessed. It is a blessing living for our Lord Jesus Christ.

It is a blessing to be here at Christian Women’s Job Corps. Meeting new sisters in Christ at CWJC is a blessing. Praising and glorifying His Holy Name.
